Wilma Groethe is a Board Certified CRNP, Her Nursing career began as a Registered Nurse. She received her RN Diploma from the Washington Hospital School of Nursing. Working 19 years with The Washington Hospital, first as Staff RN, then Clinical Manager. While working at the Washington Hospital, she earned her BSN from Wheeling Jesuit College, with 2 semesters left at Wheeling, Wilma heard her next medical calling, to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She then earned her MSN from the University of Pittsburgh Nurse Practitioner Program.
Her nurse practitioner positions include Claysville Family Practice from 1997-2011. In 2008, while at Claysville Family Practice full-time, Wilma added a part-time role with Take Care Health, a pharmacy walk-in clinic. In 2011, she chose to transition to full-time, with Take Care Health. Wilma’s other NP positions include in-home Health risk assessments, Aspire-Palliative Care and Senior Life. Her most recent job, successful care and recovery of her husband, following his heart surgery.
Wilma resides with her husband, of many years, in Washington, PA. They have 1 adult son. Both hail from large families, each with 7 siblings, and combined over 70 nieces and nephews. Her big family’s health experiences enhance her diverse medical knowledge, practical-care skills, and life cycle understanding.
